Vancouver Island Map

Port McNeill, located on the northern end of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, is easy to reach in many ways. Flying here via Kenmore Air Seaplanes, straight from Seattle, Washington, is about a 3 hour flight and you are here, no hassles. You can also fly to Port Hardy from Vancouver via Pacific Coastal Airlines, which is about a 45 minute flight. That way you will not need a vehicle; we can pick you up and drop you off.

B.C. Ferries connects us to the mainland from several directions. You can catch a ferry from Vancouver to Vancouver Island into Victoria or Nanaimo and travel up by car. It's a 4 to 5 hour scenic drive up the well maintained and motor home friendly Island Highway.

Another great part about this trip is that it fits well into the normal British Columbia Steelhead Routes. If you are Skeena Bound you can book yourself and your car on the ferry that runs daily from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert and save the lengthy drive. For those traveling to the Dean, they can also book a ferry ride From Port Hardy to Bella Coola and charter a flight from there or charter a flight directly from the Island.

If you would like to stay in Port McNeill for a few days, we can provide a Bed & Breakfast package for you. Just let us know.

A regional map is available at the North Island Wildlife Viewing website.
The site also has information on some of the local river locations.
